In hand salary. Variable is less. Insane learning opportunities. Onsite opportunities although less still one would get depending on accounts

Dislikes

Appraisal cycle is like a dream. You will never know whether or not it will happen. Onsite opportunities are considerably lower. Medical benefits are not that great but still not that bad as well.

After moving from Accenture to Cognizant, I feel that now I have proper work and life balance. I don't need to spend 7-8 hours on call a day. They hire ample resource for any project unlike Accenture where they take work of 3 resources from 1. I get time for my personal development.

...t ratings in Jan/Feb. You get hike in October which is applicable from December. I joined here in April, and it's been an year with no hike and I will have to wait till December for a salary hike (so almost 2 years) whereas there are companies who are giving salary hikes/market correction half yearly.

...ce. they we'll give rating based on there need and rating will decide your hike. but good place to enjoy and life balance if joined with good package.

Depends on your home manager, some are really supportive. 5-6 hours required from office (depends on the project), rest can be done from home, udemy access, cloud certifications

Salary is too low, only ceo earns good money, exploiting freshers and playing with their careers. They don't have many projects, so most of the time people will be on bench. Promotions are delayed/cancelled based on their convenience citing reasons like utilization is less (common sense- it is less because the company has less projects). Promotions criteria are increased if you satisfy previous required criteria. Hikes are less than peanuts. Company culture is bad, no festival celebration nothing. Work-life balance depends on the project; if you have a project, then you're overloaded with work and if you don't, you're overloaded with stress as they can terminate you anyday. FEW OF THE LATERAL HIREES ARE PUT ON BENCH AND LATER TERMINATED AFTER 6 MONTHS. JOIN ONLY IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND CAREER.

I have been learning new technologies since day one, so learning is never stopped for me after joining cognizant

Cognizant will not pay you well , Even if you are eligible for a better pay at the correct time they will release you from the project so that they don't have to promote you
