I have been hired in a process where Cognizant require at least 2 years of experience whereas I have been hired as a fresher because of my technical skills. I love my work so much because it involves so many skills like team work, management, stastistical, technical, investigating etc. I have been working directly with the large scale clients such as wallmart, Yum, Reliance etc.

Dislikes

Cognizant is just acting as a mediator. Cognizant is there to just pay the employees. Except for this cognizant plays no role in the work. I am using my Google corporate domain for my work and I am acting as a Googler for my clients.

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Dislikes

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

1. Low job security 2. Forcing people to work from office(ODC) 3. Mostly support projects 4. Very low transparency with poor management 5. Work satisfaction is very average

Despite the fact that cognizant is not directly involved, the management team is the worst because I had a bad rating once and spoke with my HR about it. She said that it was illogical to claim to be able to speak Hindi, and they do not care about employees. While some employees are excellent, favoritism is a non-issue in the Kolkata office. I will not receive any better senior support that would help me start from scratch.

CTS provides a good work life balance and decent salary. All other things depends on the type of project which you got.

As a fresher you will be getting support projects , so be aware before choosing any project.
