Training will be moderate and you cant expect salary hike as well no will dream about appraisal here. work-life balance may happen depending upon your team you work. work environment will be great. Cognizant gives you a high job Security. To be frank All the above factors depends upon the team and domain you work. Except Appraisal and Salary Hike.

As like many Organizations, appraisal depends on how smooth you behave with the supervisor not on how hard you work.If you have common area between you and supervisor then you will be awarded a best of all bucket.But not all, few people will be genuine with the process. once in bench you will have to wait for ages to get another Project.

Good place to start career since we get very good train,salary is low compared to market standards,appraisal is pathetic,depends on project regarding learning and innovation

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

1. Low job security 2. Forcing people to work from office(ODC) 3. Mostly support projects 4. Very low transparency with poor management 5. Work satisfaction is very average

Despite the fact that cognizant is not directly involved, the management team is the worst because I had a bad rating once and spoke with my HR about it. She said that it was illogical to claim to be able to speak Hindi, and they do not care about employees. While some employees are excellent, favoritism is a non-issue in the Kolkata office. I will not receive any better senior support that would help me start from scratch.

...a result, you will be highly appreciated with a very bad rating and feedback. 5. salary is very low and there is no hike or promotion if you are not favourite candidate of your manager
