If you remain too good on a domain, likely you will get trapped into it and not allowed to learn horizontal skills. So keeping a balance and relationship to horizontal people are important in any large project centric organization.

Lot of opportunities to pick new skills and explore different technologies and areas of work. Diversity is given good recognition and opportunities

Distance to office and compensation not upto market standards

Work life balance is very poor. Compensation to senior position is horrible. After promotion getting 4% hike. Company policy in terms of work life balance,compensation are very bad for senior position.

Appraisal for senior level is very poor. For years they had given. Now getting with minimum hike.

The salary structure is one best in the service industries. People give respect to your personal reservations. The projects are good.

I think for Cognizant India, the awards and recognition policies can be improved.

Scope of IT work and professionalism of IT workers (barring peers and managers) in the Company

Middle level management and their politics. no career growth, salary is lowest, appraisal system is biased and unfair, threatening environment. Insurance coverage is inadequate. Unreasonable goals and targets given. International relocation only to favored ones.
