Cochin shipyard limited such a good company .No dislikes, but company not Increase salary apprentice trainees and further trainees

Even if I am working in contact basis also I got bonus every year.

I studied instrumentation. I written exam for project assistant on contract basis(instrumentation). But I worked in electrical department. There was no instrumentation department in my section, only mechanical & electrical.I couldn't learn nothing related to instrumentation.

... After completion of contract they will not absorb or no plan to give promotion. CSL gives salary without any delay or dues and bonus also. Company policies are very strict. During lockdown CSL gave April month's salary. After lockdown they restarted on may 25th. But may's salary they paid for those who have attended company on 25 th may. They paid back the salary of may by step by step in each month. CSL had paid 1000rs with salary for transportation during the state of lack of transportation.

I do not dislike this work I have always like this work Because all fasility are available here.

... normally done by ex-servicemen. But at CSL they are getting treated very badly. the salary and other benefits are not at all upto the mark...the job is on contract basis and they dont even gets the payment of sweepers....

Dislikes

...is treating the contract category workers, especially in METI as their servants. The job of warden involves 24x7 duty but the salary and other benefits are too low, even lower than sweepers of CSL. I was there at CSL for almost 12 yrs and given resignation on the basis of the bad behaviour of Senior Officers at CSL. Now I am getting 3 times more payments than CSL and other benefits also on the same job....very bad attitude of the CSL HR department....just taking out blood and life and they are enjoying their life.
