Being a PSU job security is the only good aspect of working in CIL.

Dislikes

Almost everything that comes to your mind. The non executive's gross salary is more than that of Executives. Work culture is worst due to the generation gap in the heirarchy. You will always be overloaded with work if you are from a certain department. So there's no work life balance. Seniors are toxic.

Job security and pay are a plus. Not difficult to maintain healthy work-life balance

Dislikes

Work culture has not evolved to modern standards. Accountability is poor resulting in a few employees being overloaded and others going along without much work but drawing the same pay! No incentive for more work. Promotions are time bound and based on seniority only till General Manager level

As a whole company as per pay structure and job security it is very nice

As per working culture and place of posting it is not good, As per career no growth Seniors are not up to the level as per worthy Ness ( except some good people )

1. Salary, no such work specially for system engineers and you will get starting inhand salary of around 60k-70k (post implementation of 7th pay) +other incentives. If you want to open your own business or want to read for higher studies, you will get enough salary.

Dislikes

1. The work culture is worst. Being a system engineer you have to just check that printer, pc's are working properly or not. 2. No self respect. 3. Rather then learning new things, tgey will make you learn how to bypass your work and let others do your work. 4. Locations are also bad untill and unless you are not posted in head quarter. 5. If you really want to work, within one month you will be frustrated. 6. If you don't want to work at all, then Coal India Limited is the best company in the world. 7. I will recommend not to join Coal India Limited.

Salary and job security is up to the satisfaction and a good chance of growth.

Dislikes

Being a coal mining company we have to work in remote areas.A very good company for mining engineers.But not a good working environment for other departments.
