Honestly it depends on the department and designation you are working in Municipal Corporation, I had my training in establishment department. And as a trainee my main work in the department was filing, and typing a few letterheads. Sorting data, maintenance of data and records. And if we look at the public dealing department of MC Chandigarh it's a ruckus. I had worked there about three years ago not sure whether they have a new working style and system or still the same.

Dislikes

Since it's a government organisation, the work is delayed, no work culture and people working under the organisation do strikes. And if we talk about growth. I had seen a clerical staff becoming a superintendent. If you want job security, government sector is best. And the lack of work culture annoyed me the most. Being a young person I want a work culture, where I have to use my brain, be creative.
