Dislikes

There are no defined job responsibilities even for the department heads. You have to work as per the instructions of plant head, though it is not in scope of your job you have to do. If it goes well he gets credit and if it gose otherwise then you are are non-performing. False reporting about middle management and staff below them to the management. No job security. No corporate policies for staff, Different treatment to staff in different plants. Nonprofessional management. Will never recommend anyone to join at any level.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
