...a good work life Balance. And people are very supportive even in personal life. Salary is below par, but perks are similar to a PSU, but a scaled down version. Medical service is one of the best.

Job security is good as they have good backup from its parent company RP Sanjeev goenka group. They have offered good pay at joining and keeps good care when comes to its employees. At times of covid 19 they provided compensation and pension to the family of demise. Work culture is average as HR activities are not so prominent but it differs to different child companies of CESC. Company's policies are also good they gives upto 8lacs of accident coverage on duty at GET level.

No Saturday off. Work time is not fixed. Salary hikes are poor. No overtime benefits. Less HR activities like team outings and job training. At my office I feel there should be much scope for work but it's not there is disguised unemployment you can feel sometimes Office furniture is poor IT equipment are also not procured when at need and are outdated. System software is slow like ios or other ERP Systems.

Good for freshers because they give much attention for growing technical capabilities. Power Plant is a good sector for core engineering branches to learn and grow. Job security is there.

Politics is there and officers can't get their expected respect from others. Salary is decent but career growth is slower. Acute shortage of man power in every department. You've to do others duty as well.

It is regional company, employees from different state than West Bengal will not like this company. There is no learning in the company. Growth is stagnant and Performance appraisal is based on face value.

I had the opportunity to work with some great managers who were instrumental in my growth. The company does not shy away from giving you responsibility right off the block..so even as a fresher you could be leading high impact initiatives. The job requires managing multiple stakeholders, large team of unionized employees and a customers across all strata of the society, so your team and stakeholder management skills would be honed. The culture is very familial, with people ready to help you out when needed

Opaque performance evaluations and some managers play favourites Poor salary growth and promotion structure A top heavy organization, with very little churn at mid and senior management levels that often throttles new ideas Most managers acutely lack a business understanding and have very poor skills or motivation for executive development and building the next line of leadership Most of the Middle Management (Deputy Managers to Deputy General Managers) tend to bask in the glory of the organization and rarely look outside to learn and develop, zero self assessment in terms of management practices Lack of communication within the ranks of the organization and no scope of pivoting across functions within the organisation
