I had the opportunity to be trained as an intern-trainee twice at CPCB. Summer internship at WQM-I division in 2018 and I completed my M.tech thesis at IPC-III division. The engineers/ scientist are highly educated. The one who has background in field Civil/environmental/chemical engineering will understand the working there very well. It totally depends in which division you are deployed at the time of training.

Concern officers discharge their duties very carelessly don't want to point out the name of such officers because when they visit units seeking unwanted demands which affect the name of our apex organization. In this scame top officers also involve and pressurise the visiting officer during visit of units.
