Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Salary, benefits etc are given to employee on time. Work environment is also good. Work pressure & work-life balance is good.

Dislikes

No good options of Promotions are available. Technical knowledge enhancement opportunity is very narrow. Not a good application of engineering skills.

Working timing from 9.30am to 6.00pm and after that you are free. Company will pay over time if you stay at office (as per project requirement) after 6.00 pm.
