...relying on verbal commitments from them, as they often fail to honor them later. For instance, the BM2K boss might promise a salary increase after six months, but they conveniently forget and never implement it. To cover up, they might assure you of arrears, but when you follow up on those, they either deny or ignore the promise altogether.
