New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

When I started my journey in this company, that time I was the 5th employee of the company. I wanted to work in a startup with a great vision from the founders. Used to handling multiple tasks and domains in this company, I have learned and implemented a lot of new technologies cloud platforms/business/dealing with clients/understanding the development and cloud security. The attitude in the company is of learning and they believe in the idea that "Mistakes happen; it's about learning and seizing the opportunity to correct". The best part is as we grow, we learn from our mistakes and our founder is always there to guide us in the best way. The Environment and the work culture make our company unique and different from others. In our company, there are no employees they are your friends who are always there to help you in any situation. Our company is the happiness for all of us, There are ups and downs but they never impact us. It is really an honor to work with BizTranSights.
