Approval process are often slow, with even minor request taking an inordinate amount of time time to be addressed. The Director of engineering , despite lacking technical coding expertise, holds sole authority over code merges, which is often used to exert unnecessary control. There are concerns that the Director of engineering has excess free time, which is used to write misleading reviews to create a false image of competence and success.
