They hire by giving good compensation but that is the only good thing about Bechtel.

This review is specifically for Bechtel india office and the leadership in India. Working in Bechtel USA is totally a different experience. Work culture is pathetic, they may hire you for some role and assign you some other role in other function without taking your consent after joining. People are so old that they started considering themselves as king of some empire, no system processes to be followed if king ppm wants to do something, rest must follow every single process and steps to comply with the requirements. Office politics is everywhere but in Bechtel india office, politics is the only constant rest everything changes accordingly. Work is like clerical jobs. Engineering teams copies everything from suppliers and supply chain team award orders without negotiation. Working hours are flexible for those who have good relationship with King PPMs and strict for those who do only work. And stricter (9 to 11 PM) for rebels who tend to raise voice about some injustice being done by the management. Last the management - usually sleeps on any complaint and take no action. They even reveal the names of people who complain to their PPMs letting the king to get liberty to punish the rebels.
