Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Good environment, suportive colleagues, company policies are Good, appraisal are fair, salary are in our a/c before completing month. Bonus we get in 2 to 3 year.

Dislikes

There is no work-life balance. Not a great organization for women, as gender equality does not matter. Back biting and office politics, along with corrupt people, have greatly lowered the level of this organization.
