The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I get to travel abroad, especially to the US and Canada. But on-site travel is completely dependent on your project and client’s location. Mine is a US based client and they have some offices in Toronto, hence I got a B1 visa quickly. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. Managers do not value an individuals’ unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. I do receive appreciation emails from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them

Dislikes

...moving to other company the software skills we learnt there will not be useful.. Salary is very low and there will not be any hikes even yu work more than for 2 years.. Overall 4/10..

...any to work and one really feel proud in saying that he/she works with Barclays. In terms of employee respect, salary, compensations, transport, job security, growth etc This company is really great.

Dislikes

The things I dislike about Barclays are too much politics, favouritism, and most importantly the think smart ideas given by the employees is the root cause which is making the company sick day by day people are giving really pathetic ideas on the name of improvement but actually those ideas are anti human. You will be asked for every single minute you were idle. In a few processes management raise finger at you like fools. They appriciate people who just play with the policy and some how manage the time tracker but ask questions to those who really work harder and manage the work but just takes a little more idle time. Most of the managers don't even understand the meaning of quality work.

The people I’ve worked with so far have been really good. They’re supportive and caring and I’ve learned the correct meaning of teamwork here. Barclays has given me a really good start for my career as I joined it directly from College placements. Overall, in terms of team, learning and work environment perspective it has been a really good experience.

Dislikes

...ment level play so bad politics that you just don’t feel like talking to them. Secondly the salary and appraisal is much below the industry standards. Also, there are hardly any travel opportunities that anyone would get here. Thirdly, the growth here is not much. After a point your work and career will become stagnant and that’s when it’s time to move.

... culture, Management is transparent, Company policies are excellent, Appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike bonus every year, Culture is followed by each and every employee truly within the organisation as well as outside of organisation through various social work activities
