Really a good organization that takes care about the well being of the employees and good pay and work life balance for some of the teams

Some of the roles are really customised and specific to the entity and work life balance is really hard in certain teams where work has to happen on an agile basis

Functions might get a little boxed in after some time so it's essential to keep moving in / out of different functions to grow.

...he people at the lowest level is a dream. the managements are always on holiday. work is more and salary is less. if u r already working with Barclays my sympathy is with you and if you are planning to join the Barclays join in the higher management, there your life will be chilled and work load is less, so please do not join without making a enquire, join jp morgen or tcs cz the work environment is good and they are hiring

... years. They get very less increment as compared to the one who are newly hired. I have been working in Barclays for more than 10 years still my monthly in-hand salary is less than 1 lac which is so much disappointing to me. Barclays values are just followed on paper and not in practical.

The office space is good, work is intresting if your teams works on solving for core banking technologies, pay is average but if you bargain hard there is a chance they might stretch their budget. Team cultures is pretty laid back with middle aged folks who want to settle in their roles.

Dislikes

There's a fair amount of office politics, people usually settle into their role and don't adapt quickly to new technologies and being a bank innovative solutions take a back step and all the soltions have to be vetted for security approvals
