Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Company has inhouse stitching and embroidery unit so its easier to co-ordinate with the staff.

Dislikes

Growth is very slow and so is the work pace. Normal working hours are 10 hours which leaves you with 0 work hime balance. Management is very unethical and unprofessional, can hire and fire any time without giving any justified reasons. Small setup with no growth prospects.
