Well there moto is good but that's all what's good
Dislikes
Really incapable managers (mostly)
They do interfere with your personal life and call it's part of the job.
They do have a Really good moto but the things they do in the ground and at the top just opposites and they Really need more manpower
You get to interact with students, mentor them, guide them, help them in shaping their future.
Dislikes
• Poor management team
• No support
• Nepotism and biased management team
• Uncultured work ethics
• Egoist management team
• If their ego is hurt, they dnt mind removing you without giving you a valid reason
• No time management
• Hiring process is also favoured.
• They dont give importance to students choice, and others opinion
• No right of questioning.
• Internal politics
• Partiality can be seen so clearly in the team.
As of 16/10/2021, NOTHING. It's been 2 months since I've joined - Nobody cares about new hires it seems like. There seems to be no teamwork, everyone works in their own silos. Shockingly, there is no internal team's WhatsApp group, at least that's what I've been told, I mean LOL! Growth opportunities seem bleak, nobody involves me in discussions and nobody asks for my opinions on ongoing projects. Completely bored here. Maybe that's why development sector organizations and jobs have a bad reputation in the market.
In the last two months, I've found nothing praiseworthy about this organization. If they ever have any review meeting and ask for my feedback for the company - I'm gonna tell that they have to fix A LOT of things regarding work culture, communication channels, professional growth of employees, etc.
If u are looking for a short term job (say 2-3 years) in education field ,then it's very good company to work for. You will find yourself among the people coming from different fields and so lot of experience and knowledge you can get.Avanti fellows is an NGO working to provide quality education to the students coming from not so good economic background, there might be resource crunch sometimes but you will learn to perform in resource deficit situations and also to know about how corporate education system(which is prevalent in most of the urban part) is different from the resource deficit and socially, educationally, economically backward regions.spending time, mentoring and motivating students who are very eager to learn and know more will be a wonderful experience. Also the working hours are less(5-6 hours normally) so you will have enough time for yourself.
If You are looking from a long term perspective then you might be disappointed because the growth ladder is very small.also u have to live and work in the areas which will be almost rural, also there are some places which might not be well connected(in case I are very accustomed to urban lifestyle).also if you don't know how to cook ,then fooding issues can come up.
