Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Got the opportunity to preopen a hotel overseas (Not in the comfort of own country and known market) and have positioned the hotel amongst the best in the 1st year in terms of occupancy, revenue, ADR and guest reviews. Boost to confidence as well better perspective of Africa market.

Dislikes

No empowerment at any level; zero work life balance, bad salary structure, no training, no perks or entitlement, no holidays, extremely long work hours, extreme micromanagement, no job security at any level, racism.
