Dislikes

... diploma holders become manager but Bachelors and masters does not get promoted. Average salary hike. You can see multiple openings in job portal but internally, no clarity about resources planning.

The company innovates and adopts latest tech. It manufactures good, reliable and quality products. All colleagues were so nice and friendly with me so we could work collaboratively. I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
