Some colleagues are really very supportive.

Dislikes

Donkey work, peanuts pay. Zero employee welfare. Mini salary hike, no bonus. Leave balance doesn't roll to the next year. So whoever is joining this place, use all your leaves to the full and don't waste it. You're not going to get bonus anyways. No career growth for Administration staff. 3 months notice period once you complete 2 year or you have to pay them back 3 months salary in lieu of notice period. No on job training for admission and support staff.

Work Culture, DEARTH of responsibility and accountability, local politics, regional prejudices, NO FEEDBACK AT DIRECTOR LEVEL . * The function of Director is of a cardinal significance in a School. It is important that The Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences be up and above any prejudices and should engage in the acts of fair means and avoid colonial mannerisms, policing the HOD in an arbitrary manner , rather allow them the space to perform or take decisions in the interest of the Department . Make an effort to understand things in the right perspective for the growth and development of the institution. *The HODs should not be discouraged from doing any functional documentation in order to avoid any manipulation according to personal desires and prejudices as this affects the interests of the department and the university as a whole. *The strategy to create a conflict between the faculty and the HOD for personal agenda is highly precarious for the growth and development of the Department and university as a whole as it largely results in a high employee turnover and at times loss of good teachers and performers. The idea should be to develop a team with optimum contribution from each member. This is greatly possible through avoidance of acts such as back-scathing, stabbing and clandestine communication in a work culture. A resourceful planning of training in Soft-skills, Effective communication, Positive- Non-prejudiced functioning and other relevant elements of Organisational Behavior be sorted * It is imperative to have meetings on regular basis between the HOD and The Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences to plan the future of the School. The dearth of which is dire and unable to exemplify the constructive role of a Director in terms of Academics, Extended Academics, Research and Innovative understanding and expertise thereby resulting in a lack of proper direction and functioning of the School.
