Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

...rector. Director first negotiated with me on the spot and said you are selected. Even gave salary backup was asking to put papers. Next day He said HR will take the interview. I agreed on the same. HR said will give you offer shortly. They were continuously asking me to put papers first i said wont put papers until you will give offer in hand. After that they stopped responding for any msgs and emails.
