Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Its a Chartered Accountant's firm..The environment is very safe and friendly. Whatever life I will work, I want to be here. And every one in the office wants the same. Its not only about money at all but we all need work satisfaction.. The Boss is actually respectable and admirable. He is actually a great mentor. From him so many things one can learn. The people around me are very helpful, supportive..
