Likes

This company just wants the work done and take least care of its employees. No increments, no self development, trainings only to higher management. The policies keep on changing as per the need to benefit the company. The company shows it profit in annual reports but curtailing the employees basic amenities which are the part of the policies. The ethical values are only on paper and never entertained in daily business. The work culture is poor and one can least enjoy the work time.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
