Nothing to like , only on time salary at the end of the month or sometimes before the month ends. Holidays as per WBUT Academic calendar which is really a positive part. If you have three years contract, you will have 30 EL facility every year along with 8 CL and 6 Medical as usual. First and Third Saturday off. Fixed 8 hours duty.

No job security. Once their purpose get fulfilled or your contract period is over, they will not hesitate a little bit to throw you out instantly. A bribe culture with a flavor of dirty politics always there. Higher Management always try to sack those employee who are serving the organization for a decade and recruit some novice for their vested interest. On of the worst work culture. Arrogant and Stupid Management. They even know how to treat a lady. Always use abusive word to the employee , even the teaching section are not spared.

Dislikes

Ever changing Army Management (CHAIRMAN & PATRON) from Army HQ-DELHI AREA, who have NO EXPERIENCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM. During their tenure of 2 Years, they learn being head of Management of Colleges. The training Manager, that too from ARMY visits each college very frequently. They sit ONLY with LADY FACULTY MEMBERS, during their visit. They rarely seek feedback of MALE FACULTY MEMBER. Thus, the overall perception of the faculty members is truly guided by a few female faculty members (with whom training manager spend time) of the college and the Chairman & Patron are being briefed by these training manager. In nutshell, strategies gets changed with the ever changing Army Management (Chairman & Patron). Since the institute has more of the wards of Army lower hierarchy, NO CONCERTED LONG-TERM STRATEGIES framed. It's just a TIME-PASS activity by higher management (CHAIRMAN & PATRON), till they get NEXT POSTING.

It focused more on self development of the employee, although there were certain challenges too.

Dislikes

Contractual working system. Every employee including director are on a contractual employment which expires either in 2or 3 years. Renewing the contract is again on the mercy of mgmt and director.
