Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Friendly Management and Good office environment. Good work life balance. Can learn multiple skills. Freshers have great opportunity to learn and can have good career when shifted to other companies. Employees leave policy is very good.

Dislikes

Underpaid. Salaries are not as per market and hikes are biannual. Expects more from employee.
