The work culture is really good. I am able to balance my personal and work life easily here and also the managers and SME's are very friendly and helpful.

Dislikes

The salary and benefits offering here are very less when compared to othere companies and also it takes ages to get promoted even you have right skills.

Has to be salary. For a new joiner it gives you a good starting point. Receive salary before the month ends. Good OT and NSA compensation. 5 days in a week working culture. Amazon volunteering, so that you give back to society. No one disturbs you during your week-off if you meet your weekly target.

Dislikes

Monotonous job. Get up turn your PC on and do what you were doing yesterday, spend 9 hours and turn your PC off. This happens everyday. You may obviously learn something, as you need to complete training and go through the policies. But still you would understand that this would not take you far in your career. Rotational shifts works for some and for others it's headache. You are required to meet your weekly targets and if not then it messes up your week-off. Not saying you won't do good but this job profile is for few and you will understand very soon if you are a fit in few months (as first two are just training).

...-house promotion, depends on department to department and business requirements. Not much in the name of bonuses, but you get salary hike the way you perform whole year. Everything counts. Strict no extra hours works, if there is requirment you'll be paid double AND it's optional. Do your 9 hours shift (1 hr lunch included) and no one can ask you to work another single minute which is amazing to maintain your work life balance.

Dislikes

Compensation plans need to be worked out, obviously labour is cheap in India but we gotta eat and run a house too. Amazon HR team is too slow and way more busy (like every HR) no exception here l so it takes ages to get your work done or get an information from them. For contractual roles : They need to stop throwing every trained folks back in market after their contracts ends. Keep moderate to best ones so that your training don't go in vain and they also can start or make their career.

Compensation and benefits are provided on time. Generous allowances are provided. Amazing cafeteria for employees. Very friendly work culture. Work related help received easily.

Dislikes

Management is very strict. Mistakes, non-compliance to deadlines, and not meeting targets are met with stern actions. Upper management and bosses are always shadowing your actions. Employees are always on a tight leash. Management fires/lay-off employees with ease. You efforts, years of services do not matter. Your level of skills and their relevance to company project matter most.
