... and not costly, but everything in Vadodara is more costlier than tier 1 city.
Salary offer and increment is not as per expectation and market.
The job security is high.
Sometimes, international trips but now the company will make you sign a bond that you will return the trip money if you leave within one year.
...portation for several years, and I'd like to share my feedback on the company:
Stagnant Salaries: The company offers limited salary growth, even for those managing large teams and working weekends. Salaries around 11-12 Lakhs are common, making it difficult to live a decent life.
Lack of Career Progression: Advancing beyond a certain salary level within the company is incredibly challenging. This lack of upward mobility is frustrating for employees.
High Attrition: Many employees, including myself, joined Alstom Transportation attracted by its brand name as GET in 2016. However, due to poor salaries, approximately 95% of my cohort from 2016 GET batch has left. The niche nature of the work also makes switching jobs difficult. The company knows that your skills are not useful outside and hence, exploits this factor to keep wages low.
Financial Struggles: Working in Bangalore with over a decade of experience for just around 10-13L salary is financially straining. After deducting expenses, savings becomes nearly impossible, making it hard to maintain a decent standard of living.
I strongly recommend individuals to seek better opportunities to explore other options. Alstom Transportation may not be the best choice for those aiming for financial stability and career growth.
Facilities are fair good enough like transport, canteen, medical reimbursement and health insurance coverage and working environment and working timings
Salary hike is not based on performance but based on personal relationship with HOD. Team work is not good. And internal working culture is bit political way of approach. Job security is also quite risky.
1. People looking for genuine growth with managers support and guidance don't join here. Managers attitude is "you will be okay until you work according to them else Don't know you at all they will put you under the bus anytime".
2. Performance Review is namesake to show your failure only
HR is let down, employee themself do more HR job than HR themself... Complete failure I would say plus should bare with their cold attitude.
3. Even if you are not assigned work neither Manager nor HR is bothered only they will react if you yourself flag but the response would be you are incapable of doing your job and will be transferred to role which is neither matching your profile nor they will discuss with you.
4. Most important if you don't have choice other than joining company always ask for job description in written even get it signed by reporting manager as role what you get is entirely different than your experience ex in case you go to HR on role explanation reply will be "you should even be ready to take printout for your manager"
5. Let down for women employee as they will be sidelined for growth by commenting "You will not be available after working hours" or Will give work exactly at 6 PM or will ask to stay beyond working hours to give some update. If you resist be ready for constant comment in every team meetings by making them feel guilty for giving priority for personal commitment after working hours. Worst is giving comment on taking WFH when kid was sick that too during performance review and will be giving low score even you have worked outside your KPI.
