Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Just job security as my company is sponssored by Ministry of textile,GOVT OF INDIA.

Dislikes

This is national level cooperative organisation sponssored by govt of India deals in procurement and marketing of handloom products I was posted in its export deptt since begining of my career (Year 1994) but this year our top management has been desided and posted me at retail outlet as depot manager which is terriable for me due to entire deference in ... NATUTRE OF WORK.. WORKING SYSTEM & ENVIRONMENT.. DIRTY POLYTICS OF SENIORS.. NO CHANCE OF CARRIER GROWTH... NO CHANCE OF INNOVATION.
