Initially I was taken up by the Chairman of the Company and his smooth talk. He has a lot of contacts in the Oman Government and would flaunt and use them.

Dislikes

The Company has no systems or established procedures. The don't even issue salary slips. When I tried to introduce systems the Chairman would stall and never implemented them. I found that the Chairman had a reputation for cheating a lot of persons and going in for shady deals. He owed a lot of money to the banks and lost cases in the Court. He had recruited a lot of Indian and Pakistani labour, He sacked them and did not pay them their wages. As MD I had objected and resigned so did our British GM. Since we too were not paid our dues we filed cases in the Courts of Law. I strongly advise not to apply for any jobs and join his dubious companies.

.... Superiors dislikes you if we gave our extra output. Very bad working culture. Very worst salary increments and promotions, eventhough you prove yourself.

...s in fact working better for the growth of an individual as a design engineer. bonus is a good amount though it is negligible compared to the main office (Riyad) counter parts.

Dislikes

Even after 15-16 years of working you would be sitting in the same chair and doing the same things. Growth in position is zero here. peanuts will be received as increments every year. Even though huge work is pulled out from Indian supporting branch, the credits, projection and the huge monitory benefits go only to the Saudi (Riyad) counter parts, All thanks to the middle management who is playing their cards intelligently to pull the maximum benefits only towards them even by extreme crooked office politics.

Salary gets credited at end of the month. Small unit. Good work atmosphere. Good for freshers.

Dislikes

Almost a dead end for career growth. Stingy attitude towards employees. No benefits other than salary.
