Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

As it was an early start up i have got many things to learn. Specially in terms of retail operations, food safety, logistics operations, team building n management and leadership skills etc. Overall the I had good time at aker foods.

Dislikes

There was nothing to dislike about the company bcos it was an start up and in early stage each n every start up has to make their employees go through a roller coaster ride just to achieve the desired goals.
