If this is not fraudulent, cheater-like behavior, I don’t know what is. They are putting effort in Linode now, which is going to be a big flop. Strongly recommend you don’t join this workplace, because you will not feel welcomed here - there are old folks who are stuck for decades and the axe is always on the new comers. There’s not much growth in terms of learning either. They follow legacy method of working and are extremely resistant to change. The future jobs that they will generate are also not secure because the leadership mentioned in the townhall “layoffs might happen again if the need arises”.

...res for employees, and put effort to provide them great working environment. 2. The compensation is almost on par with industry standards of medium scale software company. While it's subjective. I feel it's really doing the justice on this front. 3. You can really enjoy the benefits of work life balance flexible work timing. And company offers full remote work. 4. Management is good and transparent about the company goals and paths. Over all a great company to work for.

...ls and technologies might feel slow in this rapidly changing tech ecosystem. 2. You would find yourself complaining if you compare compensation and benefits with that of some "very high" paying startup or big tech.

They have a informal period of layoffs that take place every 4-5 years or so. Hence, employees will randomly be laid off.

Akamai is good in terms of work culture. They have good employee benefits and a quite smart people working for them . Your work will highly depend on the team you are going to but the company is a good place to be. They have a very well training plan for the new joiners.

Salary is decent but there are quite a few companies that will pay you more.

Growth is l'il slow , compensation is good but needs re-evaluation based on inflation. Compensation used to be good once but just average now looking at current compensatio of good product based companies in market.
