Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Dislikes

the workplace fosters a toxic environment where gossip and disrespect of personal and professional life is prevalent , and entertained by management team. This place carries very unprofessional way of working where hard work is not at all needed if you satisfy managerial ego. Potential employee should reconsider above few factors to avoid carrier barrier.
