Likes

Family Atmosphere. Management/ HR provides Good Support in case of some Family Urgency/Personal Issues. Senior Management Very Approachable. Attrition Rate is very Low.

Dislikes

Need to Work More on Professional Working Culture and Environment. Succession Planning is almost Nil, which creates Vaccume at the time of Departure. Lower Salaries at Ground Level makes it difficult to attract talent and making foundation very weak.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
