No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

... Worst work culture, this 21 years old company doesn't have any leave structure. Most importantly they always decrease the salary. Am giving an example, this year 5th June I got a call from the HR team for the interview, I went and as discussed I told HR Manager as my expected CTC 15% HIKE from my last CTC. When she gave me the feedback that I've been selected she told me (am quoting her exact word) " we're not providing you your expected CTC, we will increase that after 6 months and that's depending upon your performance ". Seriously???? In which company can you please tell me that Salary depends on the performance? I've 3.5 years of experience into HR profession. And in this 2.5 months I've recruited close to 20 people, but still when am asking for the hike HR Manager directly told me that's not possible! So that's a completely FAKE COMMITMENT they're giving in the time of Interview. In every position they did the same thing. So I'll suggest it can be a Best Event Management COMPANY in Kolkata but this are the problem I have faced. I WILL SUGGEST THAT NOT TO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY....

No employee leave benefits. No national holiday. No hike in salary. Salary varies from 10th to 18th of the month. Humiliate while giving salary. Expect employees to invest in projects and running office expenses. Reimbursements after 25th of the next month

Salary structure very bad, Leave Policy worst , they cut salary even if you are in dying moment. No proper channeling of work. Worst hiring process whatever you are getting asked to join you in less and after joining you will get your appointment letter that's too can take upto 1month.

... Holidays without following the National and Festival Holiday Act to compensate. No bonus given. Also, there is no PF benefits given. HRs are just puppets to the management and have no real responsibilities except hiring which is done here throughout the month. Anything you say to the HR will be asked to communicate directly to the management.
