Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

BankData - 7N, is really very good company. It's been 9 months i am working here and feel like my home. Earlier i worked in big MNCs but not found such a pleasant work environment. I would recommend others to join 7N. One thing i love is 5 big parties and beers every Friday.

I like everything here. I regret that i should be here 5 years ago.
