Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It's an immense pleasure to be a part of such professional environment. I have learnt and developed lots of things that helped me in grooming myself and upgrading my professional skills.

Dislikes

Since everything comes with pros and cons. I have not seen any cons which are concernable to discuss but yes work life balance could get better.
