Whitehat Jr used to be a great company to work with before byjus's acquisition. I have seen people getting promotions completely based on their skills and performance (Meritocracy), but eventually, everything came to a halt after the acquisition.

In whitehat jr, people were shifted to different dept without prior notice and made to work in a department which required different skill sets. As Einstein said, "Everybody is a genius, but you cannot judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Apart from this if you talk about pressure and work-life balance then I would say it was normal like any other company nowadays. Work culture was good for some departments and for some it was horrible, it was totally dependent on their leaders. For me, it was always good, because my leaders were really supportive and understanding. Lastly, about job security, I would say that job is not secured in any private companies nowadays. But whitehat jr was extreme in laying off the employees out of nowhere. And the worst part is that the layoffs were based on their salary range, not on their performance. Many good performers lost their job at a time when jobs in the market are in scarcity. Try to understand the point here, they were moved into different departments then they were judged based on their salary range and then laid off. And because of this strategy, many lost their jobs. Actually the profile is very interesting and challenging as we at Whitehat jr teach Coding to online to the students from Age Group 6 to 14.

Here is the best thing is the work culture is excellent. More over from executive level to director level works togather here like a family. Which is according to me is excellent. Hope management like this should be there in every organisation.
