Only my initial manager provided me with ample knowledge, opportunities, appreciated my efforts very frequently. So if and only if you get a good manager like that (very rare chance), it would be good. Best transport facility that I have seen so far
Extremely autocratic managers in India - They consider as though people reporting to them are their servants who they can treat quite literally as they wish. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! They are unreliable - will announce awards in big forums to never give it in reality. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! Will make changes to an individual person’s reporting as per their whims and fancies and that too umpteen times - will give least attention to what that would cause to the employee’s career. Each new manager behaves as though he is the ‘boss’ and seeks explanations to things s/he doesn’t even know the abc’s of. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! Double standards - will ask explanation anytime, anywhere and anyhow for anything as small as a hair crack, but will themselves be ‘unavailable’, ‘unreachable’, ‘unresponsive’, ‘unaccountable’ for even issues of massive scale. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! Unprofessional/Unethical - will openly give threats in the likes of ‘if you don’t co-operate, you know what ‘ijz’ going to happen’. Will mock your skills as though you are totally unworthy. Will jump into and quit meetings at any time they like, in any manner they feel. Will utter each sentence before you finish speaking. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! Non-empathetic - Will keep scanning their cellphones when an employee comes to say that the transport cab was attacked by street goons, but will give utmost importance to even employees’ attire when someone from out of India is to visit. Finally, the employee would get irritated and quit! Will make use of the employee as a shield to carry out their individual growth plans. It's not what it looks like. All gimmick. Folks are tired and angry at the management. Development work is at its lowest. Frequent changes to the management and ever changing project plans are only adding to the woes.
