Volvo is really a good company to work with and will get good benifits if you are employee there. For consultants it's bit different in treatment. Job security is good for direct employees and for consultants it's bit difficult to survive. It's always depends upon the manager how it will go

Dislikes

If consultants are working for Volvo why they will see different i don't understand. Internal politics always be there anywhere. Everything is based on the manager and team you will get.

Working with VECV, u will get to know things better way. Your scope of work will increase, can do anything that u want, there is no restriction. U can escalate any issue or demand to higher management. U will get resolution except salary.....

Dislikes

U have to work on weekends also as per requirement and there is requirement on every weekend. Also u have to xtend you time beyond office hours. All mentioned above is normal from the perspective of Manager & HR.

Working hours are 8:00AM to 5:30PM but to catch the bus we have to wake up around 5 AM atleast and we reach home by 7 PM Company's food is worst Senior manager's who work more than 10 years with VECV , Should be genuine right , VERY WRONG YOU HAVE TO TO DO LOT OF BUTTERING , ASK THEM MULTIPLE TIMES THEN ONLY THEY WILL NOT SHARE FULL INFORMATION ONKY HALF THEY WILL SHARE . Oh my god don't know where to begin with- Nothing to be learned all reasearch and development work will be done by vendor. Nothing to learn you will only learn how to work with thousands of complaints in mind and still laugh about it.

It's a beautiful company to work with and can retire. I worked in Sales & Marketing division and I truly enjoyed by 9 years tenure

Dislikes

Promotion is mainly given to employees working in head office, sales team & other front end teams. Apart from sales and service people working in regional offices was given less importance. Sales and Plant is the best place to work if anybody is looking for longer career with promotions.
