The brand name makes people want to meet you which is a huge plus for reporters. People are really kind and understanding and mostly take it pretty easy. If you're a reporter and good at what you do , you get to enjoy the liberty of working on your own terms.

Dislikes

The appraisals can be unsatisfactory.

The best part of working at the Economic Times has got to be job security. During the COVID-19 pandemic when many media houses laid-off employees, ET not only retained all the interns but also provided a decent hike in stipend.

Dislikes

On the digital side of the ET, there is a blurry line between personal and professional life, which disappeared more so during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working hours can often extend throughout the day but one does get ample time to relax.

I have the following offers: 1. Exl - 24 lpa fixed + 12% variable + 2 lakhs joining bonus Position - manager 2. Infinite computer solutions - 30 lpa fixed 3. Deloitte - Still negotiating trying for 30-35 lpa I am prioritizing long term employment as well as personal/ professional growth as I have major family responsibilities coming ahead in next year.
