It's a wonderful organization and an integral part of Indian Army. Ir offrers equal opportunities to learn and grow in service by serving in various parts of the country and in different terrain conditions including serving in Counter Insurgency areas and High altitude areas.

Dislikes

Most of the TA officers are posted in field and counter insurgency areas and there are limited options available for them for peace postings which increases the separation from family

I have put in more than 13 years of continuous service in TA and I found it very exciting to be part of Armed Forces

Great platform. Territorial Army is an integral part of regular army. It relieves the regular army from static duties like garrison security, security of vulnerable areas and vulnerable points including patrolling, ambush , counter Insurgency operations etc. While serving in territorial army , territorial army officers are at par with regular in terms of training, duties pay and perks etc. It's a great learning platform....Read More
