Extremely disappointing experience at Teabox, Let's talk about the work culture - it's extremely toxic, to say the least, The founders especially the the Co-Founder, have created an atmosphere that feels more like a chaotic shop or a "Lala company" than a legit company. No structure at all, Communication about the expectations was nonexistent, ended up handling odd tasks like managing security guards and housekeeping, not what I signed up for. My attempts to contribute positively were met with resistance and zero support. Despite being in a Managerial position on paper, decision-making power was not there, The Co-founder's behavior during my performance review just after one month of my joining (Without any Induction, orientation or any Handover) was closer to harassment than feedback, After just 2 months, I've decided to call it quits, Sad to see such disagreement for basic structures and professional norms, especially from the leadership. There is no company culture. The owner and the wife treat it like a personal shop rather than a business. Zero respect even for old employees.

Lack of respect. People are treated like paid servants. Even if you have leaves you can't use them, until and unless you are sick or dying.

I got a chance to learn Tea tasting and a bunch of other skills related to checking the quality of tea. The team size was helpful and had a good manager.

Dislikes

Poor compensation. The location of the office is not ideal for daily commute. No scope for hybrid work.

There is no ethics left in this company. They even sacked the very first employee with whom the owner started the journey. The only motive of this company is to get funding and create fake social media promotion. At the time of Covid they forced many employees to put the resignation and in the mean time there social media pages werefull with emotional dramas. The owner of the company is so insecure that he checked the personal mobile of employees. You want your brand to be recognised globally and doesn't even have a little confidence on your own company's internal system. How cheap mentality is this that he even checked the personal phone of female employees with a doubt that the blend formulations may be shared.
