I want to share with you all a situation which happened with me in the month of August. I had successfully completed my summer internship at Tata steel and was aiming for a PPO. The results were out on the 26th August, 2022 and my name was there on the list, I was on the cloud seven and instantly informed my family and friends. Congratulations and greetings flooded in. But after around 1hour the Tata steel talent acquisition team sent another mail to my college T&P with a new list where my name was not present and it was mentioned "please ignore the first mail it was a mistake". I was literally shook, i didn't know how to face this situation, it took me around a month to get back to my normal self. This is how their talent acquisition team works. On the top of that they were rude and didn't give me any proper explanation of the blunder they created. My HR was sorry about this and said that they had forwarded a positive response but the talent acquisition didn't hire me as there was no vacancy in civil engineering posts but if they were aware of the non availability why did they choose me in the first place. And to add on i had got the internship opportunity through 'women of mettle' where I made it to the Top 30. So, i was part of this company from around 1 year from 3rd year to 4th year of my btech, where I had already worked on another project.
