Tata group with all money to do charity can provide job security only but no learning, no job satisfaction. A new age tech shop run by TCS ppl who have only managed clients, how they can build Amazon's competition???

have ision, a company run by some old ppl with retired mindset. CXO is confused whether this is a product company or service organization. HR during interviews claims product but CXO doesn't have any idea about product shop. Just because you are Tata you don't know everything. How can these ppl think about competing with Amazon??? It's like Netherlands is competing with India in Cricket WC. Their main vendor is obviously TCS but dude TCS ppl are more for on-site opportunities which is obvious, only unfortunate or unmotivated ppl join with clients like TDL. TDL don't pay well for vendors that's why the get incompetent ppl from other vendors too. Fresher with access to Udemy do all development. Currently, they have opened desktop applications access to Tata employees but still with very less footfall. Dude, your own employees don't trust you. Next step start giving exorbitant offer to increase purchase. Hahaha. Also, trust me all the good feedback here are cooked by HR to reduce attrition and getting ppl on board (currently there is huge last minute dropouts). Focus on innovation, freedom to experiment, to make mistakes, and learn fast. Trusting people to come through with solutions to difficult problems. Few misconceptions being spread about the organization: Misconception 1: People are expected to work 24*7. Truth 1: People can choose to work on their problem whenever they want. Work usually starts at around 10:30 am and sometimes people even login at 12 pm. There's no rigid start time. Similarly some people stop work at 5 pm, some stop at 6 pm, and some don't stop even at 4 am. It depends on the day, the problem at hand and the flow of the person. It is not a typical 9-5 workplace. The foucs in on solving problems not on counting hours. Having said that, if you feel off on a certain day, for any reason, you can choose not to work at all. There's ample vaccaiton time and leaves provided 28+ days per year and you can use them whenever you want. Many people go on 15 days uninterrupted trips completely switching off work email and laptop (Including me lol). Misconception 2: Leadship has no vision and management is bureaucratic. Truth 2: Leadship lays on the oveall vision and the execution plan in bi-monthly meet with close to 100% employee participation. There's open Q&A session after such meets where anyone can ask questions to leadership team and CEO encourages that. Having said that, there are pivots in short term strategy according to market situation which are necessary. In reality decision making is most democratic. All leaders are humble to learn from everyone openly which encourages learning culture. The final decision obviously resides with them to pick the best ideas. They give opportunities for execution to juniors fully backing them with trust. Misconception 3: No career growth and politics in organization. Truth 3: 100% Meritocracy. Zero Politics.
