If you want to get a raise just submit a resignation even though you are never going to leave. (Practiced by many including the HR)

No work life balance, appreciation for your efforts that you put in, security as seniors just force you to give your resignation if they don't like you. HR will like to wave off any of your problems and tell you to get used to it. No way that you are ever going to get salary on time. A lot of politics.
