They provide excellent compensation which could be better than industry average. However this compensation is on paper since you do not get variable pay as per CTC since company does not achieve its financial targets.

Syngenta do not have a clear vision and path for success. Due to many changes in senior management, the focus keeps on changing and many business decisions are by the whims and fancies of management. Since they get huge pressure to achieve financial targets, many expenses are reduced and hence they fire employees without giving themopportunities to improve or alternate options in case of redundancies. Since Company has huge financial pressure from ChemChina (Chinese govt company), it constantly reduces costs and lays off employees. It hires employees at higher CTC which is never paid of completely and subsequently fires them.
