They manipulate SEO to get more reads 4. They expect us to deliver more articles on weekends. Hence, lack of proper work-life balance

They have flexible hours and you can write as much or as little as you want. The managers are more than understanding and leaves are approved pretty easily.

The pay is stagnant and hasn’t increased in over 2 years. There is very little option of upward mobility if any and there is no chance of making this a stable job.

1) As a social media person, I learnt quite a few things which I didn't know. 2) You'll learn playing with excel and numbers. 3) Peer to Peer learning exists, especially from upper management (but totally depends on how your manager is) Some managers are good, some are really really bad. PS: Hiring at SK is really bad at management level.

1) Salary will remain the same if you're on contract in the social media team. 2) You'll NEVER become permanent unless you have a team working under you. 3) There's no security at job. If a page closes because of low performance and your manager's mistakes, you can be fired. 4) Favouritism at its peak. Affiliate marketers and content writers will come and give you gyaan. 5) There are NO HOLIDAYS. Yes, no Independence Day, no weekends, no Diwali, no Holi. It's a 365 day working position. 6) If you're the social media executive, you're also the copywriter and the graphic designer. 7) If work demands, you'll be called at 11 in the night for a task. There is a lot to learn from working at Sportskeeda especially as a manager. You develop an understanding of operations and implement tactics to help your team grow. The business is sound from a content point of view and maintains certain standards which add to the quality of your work.

Dislikes

Extremely poor work life balance and unrealistic target expectations. There is no regard for personal time and you have to be available at the beck and call of your seniors. The company does not provide any tools (laptops etc.), there are no benefits provided, and leaves are absolutely frowned upon unless you are absolutely sick. The pay is also meagre compared to the workload.

Everything. This is my second tenure with Sportskeeda, and this company is by far the best for sports journalists to work at. Everything at SK seems well structured. The pay is better than most other websites, and the timings are also friendly. A key thing that makes this organisation so beautiful are the seniors. The best company I've worked so far with people having elite tastes when it comes to games, movies and pop culture in general. The freedom to work anytime you like provided you finish whatever tasks you picked up for the day, and the fact that the team leads and seniors are not at your throat for taking a couple of days off are two solid reasons that makes this company great.
